Alberta Seniors and Community Supports
Alberta Seniors and Community Supports is responsible for delivering programs
and services for a wide range of Albertans.
The Ministry consists of four key areas: Seniors Services, Community
Support Programs and Strategic Planning, Disability Supports, and Strategic
Corporate Services.
In addition, the Seniors Advisory Council for Alberta, the Premier’s
Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities, six Persons with
Developmental Disabilities (PDD) boards, and the Communications and Strategic
Human Resources branches are also part of the Ministry.

Region 5 East Central Alberta Child & Family Services Authority
The East Central Alberta Child and Family Services Authority is responsible
for planning and overseeing the delivery of services to children and
families residing in its region, as well as ensuring that provincial
standards are met.
These services include child welfare, resources for children with
disabilities, child care, working with communities through Family and
Community Support Services, prevention of family violence, foster care
and adoption services.
